His qualifications include MBBS, MS and MCh (Pediatric Surgery) and he was Professor(Pediatric Surgery) at Maulana Azad medical college and associated LNJP and GB Pant hospitals and then Practised at Madhukar Rainbow children hospital, Delhi before joining Medanta Hospital, Gurugram.

He is an expert in paediatric minimally invasive and endoscopy surgery. He is well versed and experienced in performing laparoscopic surgery for diseases like Hirschsprung disease, Choledochal cyst, undescended testes, hernia, rectal prolapse, appendix and Gall stone in children. He has also performed thoracoscopic surgery for congenital diaphragmatic hernias, foregut duplications, hydatid cyst lung and many other thoracic diseases in children.

He also has large experience in managing complex cases needing surgeries like gastric pull up, lung resections, meningomyelocele and VP shunt, bronchoscopy for foreign bodies, tracheal repairs, liver resections, oncology etc.
